Dozens of Prague museums open late for annual night event

The second edition of the renewed Prague Museum Night takes place on Saturday evening, with 61 museums, galleries, historic sites, and other cultural institutions opening their doors to the public, most of them free of charge. The event runs from 7 p.m. until midnight.

Visitors can move between venues using four special public transport lines, and full details , including a list of all participating institutions, are available on the Museum Night website.

A special highlight this year is the rare opening of the main building of the Museum of Prague, closed since 2020 for renovations.

Prague Museum Night first launched in 2004 and quickly became a popular tradition, drawing crowds of up to 200,000 in past years. The event was paused during the COVID-19 pandemic but was revived last year by the Museum of Prague.
