Dog saves family from house fire

A family of four in the north-Moravian village of Žermanice was saved from fire by their dog on Thursday. The dog started barking when the roof of the house caught fire shortly before midnight waking everybody up. Firemen said the accident was caused by soot catching fire in the chimney. Damage to the house was estimated at 200,000 crowns.
