Deutsche Bank reportedly interested in Czech Telecom

Some Czech newspapers have reported that Deutsche Bank is interested in acquiring the a majority stake in Czech Telecom which is up for sale. Deutsche Bank is reportedly willing to pay up to 3 billion USD for a combined 78-percent stake held by the Czech government and TelSource. According to earlier unofficial reports, the Czech government might be satisfied with around 2.5 billion dollars for its 51-percent stake. The deadline for submitting binding bids for the privatisation of Czech Telecom has not yet been set but it is expected to be in the second half of March.
