Designblok festival gets underway in Prague

The biggest annual design festival in Czechia, Designblok, gets underway in Prague on Wednesday. Now in its 24th year, the festival showcases the best of Czech and international design, art installations and expositions.

Most of the works will be displayed at the former St. Gabriel monastery in the district of Smíchov, which has been turned into gallery halls, and in the Museum of Decorative Arts in the centre of the city.

This year’s main theme, The Forest, reflects the use of natural materials and traditional craft techniques but also addresses pressing environmental issues. The event will run until Sunday.
