Depeche Mode to perform for 60,000 in Prague
UK band Depeche Mode are due to perform in Prague on Sunday evening. The group, now containing two original members, have sold 60,000 tickets for their show promoting their most recent LP Memento Mori in the city’s Letňany district, organisers said.
Depeche Mode have performed several times in Prague, with their first show famously taking place in 1988, a year before the fall of the communist system in Czechoslovakia. They are affectionately known by the nickname “Depešáci” by their Czech fans.
Prior to Sunday’s concert they announced two more, indoor shows in Prague next year.
