Demand for Covid self-testing kits skyrockets
The demand for Covid self-testing kits has skyrocketed in recent weeks, according to e-shops and pharmacies. Michal Petrov spokesman for the Dr. Max network says their pharmacies sold 300 self-testing kits in December, 2,000 in January, almost 18,000 in February and 25,000 in the first decade of March. He said they would have sold more, if there were no outages. Companies and firms have also scrambled to buy them after the government ordered compulsory testing of hundreds of thousands of employees.
