Defence Ministry wants to spend nearly CZK 3 billion on new purchases

Defence Minister Jana Černochová has requested that her ministry receive an extra CZK 1.4 billion from the state budget in order to make urgent military equipment purchases, the Czech News Agency reports. Prime Minister Petr Fiala told the agency that he will support the request.

At the same time, the Defence Ministry is allocating another CZK 1.4 billion for equipment purchases from its current budget. Most of the money will be spent to buy Tatra trucks, the Czech News Agency writes.
