Daniel Landa cleared of charges for setting up initiative that blocked hygiene stations
Signer Daniel Landa, who set up an initiative last year calling for people to overwhelm the country’s hygienic stations with requests for information and was accused of sabotage, has been cleared of all charges. According to the state procurator, Landa was guilty of obstruction, which is not a criminal act and therefore did not break the law, news site Seznam Zprávy reported on Wednesday.
Mr Landa told the news site that he had not been questioned by the police and that his initiative, known as the Golden pin (Zlatý špendlík), was set up to defend citizens against bullying and the political abuse of hygienic stations during the pandemic.
The initiative crippled the operation of several hygienic stations last November during a sudden rise in cases due to them being forced to respond to thousands of requests for information.
