CzechTourism: Government should have clear re-opening plan

The tourist sector in the Czech Republic would benefit from a clear plan detailing how the government plans to loosen its coronavirus restrictions, the director of the state agency CzechTourism, Jan Herget, said on Wednesday. He said his agency has prepared several support programmes for the tourist sector, which will be launched as soon as the lockdown measures end.

The agency has allocated CZK 100 million from its budget to support tourist marketing campaigns. This includes the CZK 8.7 million “Restart” programme, which aims to entice tourists from neighbouring countries to visit Czech sites.
