Czechs show the highest interest in apartments in Italy this year, Spain was the top choice last year

Czechs are showing the greatest interest this year in buying apartments in Italy, while last year Spain was the most popular destination. Year-on-year, demand for Italian apartments among Czechs rose by 18% between March and May, while interest in Spanish housing fell by 7%. This follows from an analysis by the real estate platform Sreality.cz.

In addition to Italy and Spain, Czechs also frequently buy apartments in Croatia and Austria. The interest in foreign properties may be driven by more attractive locations, but also by lower purchase prices compared to the Czech Republic.
