Czechs pull salmonella-infected Spanish sausage from stores

Czech authorities have begun removing fuet, a type of Spanish dry-cured sausage, from domestic warehouses and supermarkets due to a salmonella outbreak.

About 12,000 packages of salmonella-infected fuet, made by Embutidos Solá of Barcelona, have been sold on the Czech market in recent weeks.

The Czech Veterinary Administration began the recall after being warned by their counterparts from France, which confirmed the origin of the foodborne illness.
