Czechs having sex less often than a decade ago
Czechs are having sex less often than they were 11 years ago, according to a survey by the National Institute of Mental Health. The results from this year were compared with 2013, the last time a similar study was carried out.
On average, people reported having sex less than once in the past month; however, for people in a long-term relationship, the average frequency was 5.72 times per month for men and 5.63 times for women. The results were also correlated with age, with older people reporting having sex less frequently than younger people.
However, the institute said that the frequency of sexual activity was surprisingly low even among young people, with people between 18 and 25 years of age reporting having sex an average of 1.7 times in the past month for women and 1.3 times for men. Most people reported being satisfied with their sex lives.
