Czechs draw 1:1 with Belgium in home World Cup qualifier

The Czech national team drew 1:1 with Belgium on Saturday. The match, played behind closed doors because of Covid-19 restrictions, was the second game in the qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Czech midfielder Lukáš Provod opened the scoring at the start of the second half, but the Red Devils striker Romeo Lukaku equalised ten minutes later.

Jaroslav Šilhavý’s team started the qualifying campaign with a 6-2 win over Estonia on Wednesday and is set to face Wales on Tuesday on their home ground.
