Czechs differ on urgency of addressing climate change

A sociological survey on how Czechs perceive climate change, conducted by PAQ Research and the  CVVM agency, indicates that while the vast majority of Czechs believe that global warming is happening, only 39 percent of respondents believe it will affect their own lives. What people fear most is drought and climate-change induced migration.

People also perceive the urgency of the problem differently. 63 percent of respondents said action against global warming needs to be taken right away, 24 percent of respondents said it was a task for the coming decades, while 5 percent said “sometime in the future“ would do. 7 percent of respondents said no action is required. 93 percent of Czechs acknowledge that climate change is happening.
