Czechs beat holders Germany at European Under-21 Championship

Czechia’s footballers beat defending champions Germany 2:1 in the group stage at the European Under-21 Championship in Georgia on Sunday evening. The Czechs went ahead on 34 minutes through Václav Sejk before the Germans equalised in the second half with an Angelo Stiller goal. However Czechia took all three points with a strike from Martin Vitík three minutes from the end of regular time.

The Czechs’ next game is against Israel on Wednesday.
