Czechia will not extradite Russian opposition journalist Kurbangaleeva to Russia

Czechia will not extradite Russian opposition journalist Farida Kurbangaleeva to Russia. This decision was made today by the Prague Municipal Court. The court accepted the proposal of state prosecutor Kateřina Štěpánková, who argued that the extradition of the journalist is inadmissible. Russia is prosecuting her for inciting terrorism, justifying it, and spreading false information about the Russian military. Reporting on the armed conflict between Russia and Ukraine in a manner that displeased Russian authorities, however, is not a crime in Czechia.
