Czechia tightens notification rules for Russian diplomats

Czechia has tightened its notification rules for Russian diplomats. As of September 23, they must notify the authorities one day in advance of plans to cross the border and will also have to provide the purpose of their journey, its route, and the duration or location of their stay.

Foreign Minister Petr Macinka announced the move earlier, saying that said Russia frequently uses diplomatic cover for intelligence service personnel and his ministry was working with the intelligence services on a proposal to adjust the notification system so that it would better meet their needs.
