Czechia switches to summertime
The Czech Republic switched to summertime or daylight-saving time overnight from Saturday to Sunday. At 2 am Central European Time on Sunday, clocks in the country were advanced by one hour.
In 2019, the European parliament agreed to discontinue the practice, with a goal of ending summer time by 2021, but member states failed to agree on a single time. The Czech government approved a regulation to continue the practice at least until 2026.
