Czechia to support establishment of centres in Ukraine providing education for children in hospital

Czechia will financially support the establishment of educational centres in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast in Ukraine, which will ensure access to education for children in hospitals. An agreement was signed on Tuesday in Kyiv by Nina Horbachova, director of the Olena Zelenska Foundation, and the Czech Ambassador to Ukraine Radek Pech, with the participation of Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský (Spolu).

The foundation of the wife of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky focuses on helping children and adolescents, as well as their families. It began operating three years ago, and cooperates with around thirty partners, including Czechia, the European Union, the United States and Australia. Czechia will participate in a project called ‘Superhero Schools’, which aims to provide access to education for children who have to stay in hospitals for a long time.
