Czechia to send Ukraine 4,000 artillery rounds

The Czech Republic will send 4,000 artillery rounds worth around CZK 37 million to Ukraine, the government unanimously approved on Wednesday. The author of the proposal, Defence Minister Jana Černochová, said she considers it an important sign of solidarity with the country, which is currently the centre of diplomatic tensions between NATO and Russia.

Prime Minister Petr Fiala said that the Czech Republic supports Ukraine and is looking for a diplomatic way out of the crisis that would prevent a military clash. He added that the State Security Council will discuss the situation next week.
