Czechia sees nighttime temperatures as low as minus six

Nighttime temperatures in Czechia dropped to minus six degrees Celsius over the weekend. The coldest temperature, minus six degrees, was recorded in Bedřichov in the Jizerské Mountains. Freezing temperatures were also reported in lowland areas, including Doksany and Děčín, the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute wrote on social media.

Frost is expected again on Monday night, which could damage early potatoes and sugar beets. However, temperatures are forecast to rise starting Tuesday. Temperatures on Monday night are expected to range between two and six degrees above zero, with possible ground frost.
