Czechia to receive 125,000 extra hepatitis A vaccines amid rising infections
Czechia will receive an additional 125,000 doses of hepatitis A vaccine for both children and adults over the next five weeks. Another 20,000 previously ordered doses are being distributed to doctors’ offices this week, Health Ministry spokesman Ondřej Jakob said on Thursday.
Cases of hepatitis A in the country have tripled compared to last year, leading to a surge in demand for vaccination. While 66,000 people were vaccinated last year, nearly 150,000 have received the shot so far this year.
