Czechia ranks 20th in World Happiness Report
Finland is the world’s happiest country for the eighth year in a row, followed by Denmark, Iceland, Sweden, and the Netherlands, according to a report by Oxford University’s Centre for Wellbeing Research. At the bottom of the rankings are Afghanistan, Sierra Leone, and Lebanon. Czechia dropped two spots to 20th out of 147 countries.
The World Happiness Report, which is based on life satisfaction, social support, health, and factors like sharing meals and trust in others, was compiled by Oxford University with Gallup and the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network. Researchers found that beyond wealth and health, everyday interactions played a key role in happiness.
