Czechia hosting 325,000 Ukrainian refugees with special visas
Just over 325,000 Ukrainian refugees with temporary protection status were present in Czechia at the start of this month, the Czech Ministry of the Interior’s Department of Asylum and Migration Policy said on Wednesday. The number includes Ukrainians who have extended previously granted visas and those who have applied for the first time this year.
Two-thirds of the refugees are women. Prague, Brno and Plzeň are the Czech cities hosting the most people with the special status, which allows them access to public health insurance, education and the labour market.
