Czechia has 713 centenarians, eldest is 109-year-old Prague woman

As of June, there were 713 residents of the Czech Republic aged 100 years or older. Of them, 603 of them were women and 110 were men, according to national statistics. The oldest person was a 109-year-old woman from Prague.

The number of people living to be centenarians has gradually increased in the Czech Republic. After a person’s 100th birthday, their pension increases by 2,000 crowns per month, to help cover anticipated care services.
