Czechia fighting epidemic of respiratory infections

Many regions of the country are fighting an epidemic of respiratory infections, including Covid, the seasonal flu and RSV which is rampant among young children. Children’s emergency wards were reported to be bursting at the seams over the Christmas holidays with some small patients having to wait from six to eight hours to get treatment. According to doctors, RSV infections take a long time to cure, with high fevers persisting for up to ten days.
