Czechia facing heat wave in coming days, temperatures to reach 37 °C

On Wednesday, temperatures will exceed 31 °C in most of Czechia, and on Thursday and Friday they will rise above 34 °C. In low-lying areas, they may exceptionally reach 37 °C. On Saturday, it will start to cool down from the west, after the arrival of a cold front. The heat will only last in southern and central Moravia. This forecast follows from the current warning from the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute.

Heat means a high burden on the human body; it can cause overheating and dehydration. People should drink mainly unsweetened soft drinks in combination with mineral water. Experts recommend limiting physical activity and not leaving children or animals in direct sunlight, especially in parked cars.
