Czechia expels Belarusian diplomat linked to spy network
Czechia has declared a Belarusian diplomat persona non grata over suspected ties to Belarus’s secret service. He has 72 hours to leave the country.
The Foreign Ministry announced the decision today on X. According to Czech intelligence, working in cooperation with Romanian and Hungarian agencies, a Belarusian spy network operating in Europe has been dismantled.
The Czech Security Information Service says the network was built by the Belarusian KGB to recruit agents and gather sensitive intelligence.
