Czechia authorises temporary use of Bamlanivimab for Covid-19 patients

The Ministry of Health has authorized the temporary use of Bamlanivimab, a drug containing synthetic antibodies made by Eli Lilly used to treat Covid-19 patients.

This treatment has proven effective for people with mild to moderate symptoms by helping prevent the virus from spreading.

The Czech Republic is expected to receive the first 500 doses of the drug by the end of February. It is currently in use in Hungary, the first EU country to administer it.
