Czechia adds five Georgians to sanctions list over violent protest crackdowns
The Czech government has added five Georgian citizens to its national sanctions list: a deputy interior minister, three judges, and a prosecutor. According to the Czech Foreign Ministry, these individuals are held responsible for brutal crackdowns on protests in Georgia over the past two years.
Among those listed is Deputy Interior Minister Aleksandre Darachvelidze, who publicly defended the use of force by Georgian security forces against demonstrators. Also sanctioned are Judges Kobu Chagunava, Nino Galustashvili, and Micheil Jindzholia, as well as Prosecutor Lasha Kotrikadze.
