Czech winter swimmer Andrea Klementová targets Catalina Channel in Oceans Seven Challenge

Twenty-one-year-old winter swimmer Andrea Klementová, who last year conquered La Manche, is now preparing for another formidable open water challenge — the Catalina Channel off the coast of California. The crossing is part of the prestigious Oceans Seven, a global endurance swimming series that includes seven of the world's toughest channel swims.

Klementová has just three weeks left to prepare. She plans to begin her swim on August 25th, setting off from Santa Catalina Island and reaching the shores near Los Angeles the following morning, a grueling 32-kilometre route through open sea.
