Czech tennis players advance to 2nd round of Australian Open 

Czech players Linda Nosková and Karolína Muchová have reached the second round of the Australian Open. Nosková, ranked 13th for the tournament, won against Latvia’s Darja Semenistaja 6–3, 6–0 on the hard courts in Melbourne, while Muchová, ranked 19th, saw off Romania’s Jaqueline Cristian 6–3, 7–6.
