Czech snowboarder Vendula Hopjáková sustains injury in Olympic race
Czech snowboard cross rider Vendula Hopjáková has finished at the Beijing Olympics after sustaining an injury during a race on Wednesday. The 25-year-old athlete reportedly broke her arm after falling on the track in the eighth round of the competition.
Hopjáková was the only Czech snowboard cross representative at the Winter Olympics, after the withdrawal of champion Eva Samková, who broke both her ankles just two months before the Olympics. Another Czech snowboard cross rider, Radek Houser, tested positive for Covid and is currently in isolation.
