Czech rowers win overall World Cup title after silver in Lucerne

Pavlína Flamíková and Anna Šantrůčková finished second in the final World Cup event of the season in Lucerne on Sunday, securing the overall title in the women's coxless pair.

The Czech duo, who won the opening event in Seville and finished third in Plovdiv, completed a full set of medals for the season. They led for the first 1,500 metres of Sunday's final before being overtaken by the American crew in the closing stages.
