Czech Republic sending more arms to Ukraine
The Czech Republic will send more arms and ammunition to Ukraine, Czech Defense Minister Jana Černochová announced after a late night cabinet meeting on Thursday. The delivery was donated by Czech arms manufacturers and is worth 17 million crowns. The Czech Republic has already sent Ukraine weapons to the tune of 650 million crowns.
The Czech defense minister also said that 400 Czech soldiers are ready to be deployed in Slovakia to bolster NATO’s eastern flank. The troops would come from mechanized and logistics units, military police, command and communications staff. The mission still needs to be approved by the Czech government and Parliament.
