Czech Republic reaches 90 points out of 100 on Covid-risk scale
The Czech Republic has reached 90 points on the counter-epidemic index risk, and remains on the fifth highest level of the five-tier system. The number of Covid-positive tests and the number of hospitalisations have grown steeply in recent days.
The reproduction number jumped from below 1.2 on Thursday to 1.4 on Friday, according to data released by the Ministry of Health.
13,274 new cases were registered on Thursday, down from close to 17, 000 on the previous day, but the number of tests on the last day of the year was also significantly lower.
