Czech Republic joins EU audiovisual creation promoting programmes

The Czech Republic has joined the EU Media-Training and Media-Plus programmes promoting European audiovisual creation through raising the competitiveness of the European audiovisual industry. The Czech office of the media programmes will be opened in Prague and will co-operate with the European Commission in fulfilling the tasks arising from membership in the programme, Czech EU ambassador Libor Secka told the news agency CTK. The office will also help film producers raise money for the promotion of Czech films across Europe. Media-Training aims at training audiovisual industry professionals, while Media-Plus focuses on screenplays and production, documentaries, animated cartoons and distribution of audiovisual works abroad.
