Czech Railways raise fares by 60 percent

Czech Railways customers had little cause for celebration however - from January 1st fares on the network rose sharply. Czech Railways is now distinguishing between regular and occasional travellers - those who travel by train on a daily basis will be able to buy a monthly pass giving them significant reductions on the new tariff, but the occasional train user will have to fork out 60 percent more for their ticket.
