Czech politicians express support for Ukraine following break-down of talks in White House

Czech politicians have joined European leaders in expressing support for Ukraine following the breakdown of talks in the White House. "The Czech Republic stands with Ukraine and with the free world," Prime Minister Petr Fiala wrote on X.

“We stand with Ukraine more than ever. Time for Europe to step up its efforts,” Czech President Petr Pavel, wrote in response to the developments.

“President Trump says Zelensky is not ready for peace, but from what we could see, he is not ready to have the terms of peace dictated to him by the Trump-Putin duo, who have one thing in common: they both want to grab something from Ukraine - territory, minerals," Interior Minister Vit Rakušan wrote on the X network. “Today, Zelensky fought an important diplomatic battle in which he faced a 'business first' approach. And he came out as the moral winner," Rakušan concluded.

Declarations of support came from Germany, Austria, Spain, Sweden and other European states.
