Czech PM's Communist State Security Service agent card discovered in Slovakia
The Slovak Nation’s Memory Institute has handed over the agent card of Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš to the Slovak court as supporting evidence in the case exploring whether Mr. Babiš was indeed a Communist State Security Service informant, news site Seznam Zprávy reported on Friday. The card was discovered last year. It contains the agent’s cover name “Bureš” and the names of his superior officers.
The Czech Prime Minister has again denied that he worked with the Communist secret police, stating that the State Security Service possessed such information without his knowledge. His lawyer has not yet put out a statement.
The case has been dragging on in Mr. Babiš’s native Slovakia for years.
