Czech PM tests positive for coronavirus
Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala announced on Tuesday that he has tested positive for Covid-19 and will now be self-isolating for a period of seven days. The Office of Government has cancelled the prime minister’s personal programme for the week. Mr Fiala said that he intends to get back to work as soon as possible and that he will work from home if necessary.
The news comes as the government’s proposal for extending the state of emergency in the country is set to be debated in the Chamber of Deputies.
