Czech PM leaves for UN Climate Conference in Egypt

Prime Minister Petr Fiala is scheduled to fly to Egypt on Sunday afternoon to attend the start of the UN climate conference in the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh.

His three-day trip will also include bilateral talks with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi on the sidelines of the summit and a meeting with members of the Czech contingent of the Multinational Force and Observers mission, an international peacekeeping force overseeing the terms of the peace treaty between Egypt and Israel.

The Czech Prime Minister will also participate in a roundtable on water management, open a panel discussion on supporting education in the field of climate change, and deliver a speech at the plenary session in the afternoon.
