Czech PM Babiš meets Ukrainian President Zelensky in Yerevan

Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš met for talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Yerevan on Sunday, their first in-person meeting since Mr. Babiš took office in December.

Before departing for Armenia, Babiš declined to comment on the topics of the talks, saying he would comment on the meeting afterwards. His last meeting with the Ukrainian head of state took place in Kyiv in 2019.

The bilateral talks were held one day before the summit of the European Political Community, which both leaders are due to attend.

During the summit, Babiš also plans to hold talks with other European leaders, including British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Serbian Prime Minister Djuro Macut and Moldovan President Maia Sandu.
