Czech moon probe possible as preparatory phase of LVICE2 completed

Only nine countries have to date sent probes to the Moon, and Czechia could join them, Czech Television reported. The probe in question should also be the largest and heaviest the country has ever sent into space.

The new space project, called LVICE2, has now successfully completed the preparatory phase and experts are waiting for a decision on the money, Czech Television said. The European Space Agency and the Ministry of Transport are expected to contribute to the funding.

Previous probes that Czechia has sent into space have remained in Earth's orbit.
