Czech judge Šimáčková elected to European Court of Human Rights

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe has elected Kateřina Šimáčková as a judge at the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg. Ms. Šimáčková, who is currently a judge at the Czech Constitutional Court, will replace Aleš Pejchal. Her nine-year term begins on November 1. Two other Czech judges were also in the running for the post.
