Czech ice hockey joins European boycott of matches against Russia
Czech Ice Hockey Association President Alois Hadamczik has announced that Czechia will join other European countries in refusing to play against Russia at international tournaments.
The Court of Arbitration for Sport ruled on Friday that Russian national teams should be allowed to return to world championships immediately.
Hadamczik said Czechia would follow the position of other European ice hockey federations whose national teams have pledged not to play against Russia.
Finland announced a boycott on Monday, followed today by Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Latvia.
