Czech Ice Hockey Association says ticket sales to IIHF championships could have been better organized
The president of the Czech Ice Hockey Association, Alois Hadamczik, has admitted that the association should have handled ticket sales to next year’s World Hockey Championship matches better. Tickets to the Czech and Slovak matches hosted next year by Prague and Ostrava, were sold out in 90 minutes. While this was deemed a great success for the organizers, Mr.Hadamczik, admitted it was a mistake to give people the opportunity to buy up to eight day-passes in one purchase. This reduced the number of people who could get tickets and also significantly increased the risk of horse-trading. “We put too many tickets in one package, it should have been two, not eight. We are considering doing this differently in the future” Hadamczik told reporters in Prague.
