Czech hockey team beats Slovakia 4-0 in pre-World Championship game
The Czech hockey team triumphed 4-0 over Slovakia in Ostrava-Poruba, securing their fourth victory in five games as they fine-tune their preparations for the World Championship in Denmark and Sweden. Under the leadership of coach Radim Rulík, the team has now kept a clean sheet in five of their last six matches.
Michael Špaček opened the scoring at 18:32, and Filip Chlapík doubled the lead in the 29th minute, capitalizing on a power play opportunity. In the final period, Matěj Stránský took advantage of another power play, while Daniel Voženílek sealed the win, scoring 132 seconds before the buzzer.
The two teams will meet again on Friday at 16:30 at RT Torax Arena for the second encounter.
