Czech Foreign Minister pledges support to Israel

Foreign Minister Jakub Kulhánek expressed the Czech Republic’s unwavering support for Israel during his visit there on Thursday. Mr Kulhánek, who has been invited by his counterpart Gabi Ashkenazi, also said Israel had a full right to protect its citizens.

The Czech Foreign Minister, along with his Slovak counterpart Ivan Korčok, inspected the site of a rocket attack in the town of Petah Tikva, near Tel Aviv. Later in the day, he is due to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanjahu.

The visit is considered as a demonstration of Czech support for Israel during hard times, Mr Kulhánek said ahead of his trip.
