Czech firefighters return from building safety mission in earthquake-hit Haiti

Czech firefighters have returned from Haiti after two weeks working with an international team to assess the safety of public buildings in areas hit by a devastating earthquake.

A spokesman for the Czech Fire Brigade Association said the country had been ready also to dispatch a special rescue team to Haiti but the island nation declined the offer.
